The following services are available for transitioning members and veterans of all service branches through the Travis AFB Airman and Family Readiness Center.

Starting 1 OCT 2013 Changes to TAP Program:
TAP Retiree Pre-separation Briefing (Wednesdays) 0730-1200, 1st class to attend before any other TAP Classes. Mandatory for all no exemptions. Completion of DD Form 2648, Tri-care Medical Briefing and Survivor Benefits Plan Briefing.
TAP Separatee Pre-separation Briefing (Wednesdays) 1300-1500, 1st class to attend before any other TAP Classes. Mandatory for all members no exemptions. Completion of DD Form 2648.
TAP Transition Assistance Program GPS (5 DAY) Workshop (Monday - Friday) 0730-1630 - Mandatory for all members, Wednesday - Friday optional for Retirees over 20 years (All Services). DRESS ATTIRE IS BUSINESS CASUAL! BRING LAPTOP COMPUTER IF YOU HAVE ONE. This is a 5 Day workshop that will consist of Medical Records review on MONDAY (Request copy of records at least 3 weeks in advance), Transition Overview, Transition Resiliency, Military Occupational Crosswalk, Financial Resiliency, VA Benefits Briefing on Tuesday and Department of Labor Employment Wednesday thru Friday covering employment in the 21st Century, job search skills, networking, marketing yourself, negotiating salaries and much more.
TAP CAPSTONE EVENT (MONDAYS) 0900-1100 - MANDATORY AFTER ALL REQUIRED WORKSHOPS ARE COMPLETED. This 2 hour workshop is to verify all required items have been met and completed in order to provide members with a COMPLETED DD FORM 2958. Mandatory for all members separating and retiring.
TAP class attendance order:
1st Class must be the Pre-separation briefing...separating or retiring (all members; No waivers or exceptions).
Held every Wednesday (no classes on holidays)
Retirees over 20 years or medical board retired 0730-1200
Separating members with less than 20 years 1300-1500
Spouses may attend
2nd Class is the 5 Day TAP GPS (may waive last 3 days if retiring over 20 years, or you have proof of employment letter from company).
Offered 3 times a month - 0730-1630, business casual attire
Only DoL portion may be waived for reasons stated above.
All members must attend Day 1 & 2, to include retirees over 20 years.
Spouses may attend
3rd Class to attend is one or all of the pathways - Education, Entrepreneur or Vocational/Technical (if applicaple to your future planned agenda or path). 0800-1630, business casual attire.
Spouses may attend with member or without if this is their path after separation or retirement.

4th Class is CAPSTONE, complete once all other classes are completed (Everyone must attend this as a final step, no waivers).
All retirees over 20 years must attend this also.
Held every Monday (no classes on holidays) from 0900 - 1100, uniform or civilian attire.
