Active duty and retiree military spouses seeking employment in the greater Travis AFB geographic area are introduced to Airman and Family Readiness Center Employment and Career Development services. Individual career counseling appointments available after the orientation is completed.

Every Wednesday at the Balfour Beatty Community Center. Join us for sensory stations, socialization and support. Parents are welcome to enjoy coffee and goodies while the kids enjoy the activities. Each child will be given a visual picture schedule and a small prize. Autism demo tutors are welcome to attend. For more info call Elaine Daly-Rath at 424-2486.

BUDGET & CREDIT 101: First Wednesday night of each month. (1700- 1900) FREE PIZZA. Learn the basics of budgeting and credit. This class will show you how to manage your money by getting a grip on your spending, setting financial goals, how to pay down debt, and finding money to save/invest. You will learn about cash flow and net worth statements and how to begin to build your wealth. Also, you will learn about credit reports and the advantages and pitfalls of buying now and paying later.

OFFICER NOTIFICATION TRAINING: 2nd Mon each month (1300-1400). Trains officers on how to provide dignified, compassionate, humane notification to family members and other designated persons as promptly as possible after member casualty.

A fun and kid-friendly version of deployment for military families including: in-processing, mission brief, static KC-10 tour, deployment to base "X", and hands on demos from several base organizations. Location will be at P-1 North Entrance next to the Travis Air Museum. NOTE: "deployments" will leave every 15 minutes and the last one will leave at 3:00.

Last Tue each month, 1300-1500. For all branches of service; active duty and civilian moms-to-be are invited! Presentations include: Budgeting for Baby, Reducing Stress, Car Seat Safety, How to Calm a Crying Baby, Pre- and Post-natal Fitness, and Saving for Baby's College. Attendees receive a bundle of free baby items! Dads are welcome!
